N95 Particulate Respirater(NIOSH)7

N95 PARTICULATE RESPIRATER (NIOSH) The respirator that have been approved by NIOSH means the functionality such as penetration breathing resistance, valve leakage and head strap strength of the product have reached the standard set by NOISH. NOISH standards uses N95, P95 R95 N – for solid particle P & R – For oil particles 95 – means filters at least 95% of the particles at tha particle size of 0.3 micron N95 Particulate respirator means filters at least 95% of airborne particles but is not resistant to oil.

Particulate Respirator (EN149:2001)6

PARTICULATE RESPIRATOR (EN149: 2001) FFP1 particulate respirators- Approved for use against solid and liquid aerosols according to EN149:2001. Suitable for protection againts non-toxic harmful materials in concentrations up to 4 X OEL or 4 X APF. FFP2 particulate respirators- Approved for use against solid and liquid aerosols according to EN149:2001. Suitable for protection against low to average toxicity harmful material in concentrations up to 12 X OEL or 10 X APF FFP3 particulate Respirators- Approved for use against solid and liquid aerosols according to EN149:2001. Suitable for protection againts high toxicity harmful materials in concentration up to 50 X OEL or 20 X APF EN149:2001 +A1:2009 -Dolomite Clogging Test Approval -Dolomite clogging test is an optional test under morms EN149:2001 -Those respirators which pass the dolomite clogging test are proved a more comfortable breathing while wearing the respirators and will be marked as symbol”D”after the class of respirators such as FFPID -The Dolomite test is to expose the respirator under a concentration of dolomite dust at 400_+100 mg/m3 with dust size ranging from 0.7~12 m with a simulated breathing at 2 liter/stroke -Continue the test until measured dust concentration and exposure time 833 mg -h/m3 or until the peak resistance reaches the specified limit -Then measure the breathing resistance and the filter penetration Note: MAC= Maximum Admissible Concentration OEL = Occupational Exposure Limit TLV = Threshold Limit Value APF = Assigned Protection factor
